Maison Balmain was founded by the French Piere Balmain in 1942. After his death in 1982 the famous couture designer Oscar de la Renta took over but quitted in 2001. Balmain was known for its luxurious and classic look. Today, le maison is led by Christophe Decarnin, who has a more modern and edgier vision, clearly.
