Gemma Ward

I said a long time ago I would do a post on Gemma Ward and I finally got to it.
I guess I was around 12 when I bought Vogue for the first time and it was like a new world opening for me. I saw this photo of a model backstage, and I was just absolutely flabbergasted. I had never seen a more beautiful, glamorous, intriguing face. The caption said "Gemma Ward"; it was the first model I ever knew the name of. I followed everything she did and looked up the pictures she had taken, I was fascinated how that doll-like girl could show so much versatility. I guess she was the one that made me grow my love for fashion.

Picture: Gemma Ward for Hermès Spring 06. It is one of my favorite advertisements of all time, it hangs on my wall in my room. I will do a post on her soon, she was the very first model I ever really knew and followed and loved.
